Fantastic Chocolate Cake?

Lately I had eaten the Chocolate Cake from Bukit Timah. The so-called awfully wonderful chocolate cake in this island. Most of the orders are made under reservation list. The paper used to claim it to be one of the best in this tropical country. The chocolate cake had been baked years after years. Popular for years after years.

Of course I am very curious to taste this chocolate cake. I love chocolate. Irrestible.

Finally I got to taste it last weekend. Smell good. But after having the first bite, I wonder 'What's the hype about this chocolate cake?'. It is just a simple cake. It is not fantastic at all. It is just a simple and ordinary chocolate cake. I am not a food connoisseur. But I could taste what is a really great piece of chocolate cake.

Sometimes I wonder the standard of some food critic's review. This chocolate cake is a great example. I wonder how do this journalist grade this cake so highly? She may like to eat food. But she is not a savory food critic at all. She is just a food lover.

I would prefer to eat my Meiji Dark Chocolate, after all.

Haze Attack!! Take great care, Chirpy Birds!

Nowadays the haze is still very 'POWERFUL'.

They look misty. They look dreamy. They look romantic.
But beware! Looks can kill.

I ask our company PR chirpy bird should we send a memo to the shop chirpy birds to take good good care of their body, especially during the hazy period? I thought the memo may lighten up their chirpy mood. So that they will be DoubleChirpy. Well, at the same time, the company would also like to show concern for their chirpy health!!

This memo may sounds a bit weird to somebody, but we are xxxxxx! We work hard and we have funny fun.

Chirpy chirpy chirp chirp..

IRRITATING Mobile Phone User

This morning in the MRT, I heard someone playing some music from his mobile phone. Airing the music out from his handphone speaker! These type of IRRITATING behaviour had been occuring lately, AGAIN and AGAIN!!!

I wonder why would these inconsiderate user do this action? If you wana hear some nice music, you could always pluck in a earpiece and listen to it, enjoy in your own world. Unless you had lose your earpiece, or it had been damaged, or you left it at home, or you can't listen from earpiece from some health problem. Even if you really wana listen from the speaker, you could tune the volume lower. Why do you wana blare out the music?? Are you afraid no one know you like this song? Are you trying to hint everyone that you are cool (actually, you arn't)? Sometime I feel like pumping my TECHNO song from my handphone speaker against theirs! If I had a MP3 player and speaker in my Marimekko Ladybear Bag, I would pump out MY MUSIC against those irritating user. My super techno vs their pop song. My enchanting soprano vs their techno. My rock star vs their hip hop.

We don't need these type of people to tell us what are music. If we want good selection of music, we could go to HMV, Gramophone or THAT CD. The latter have excellent song selection airing from their superior BMB speaker, daily.

I am a great fan of theirs.

Striking Sensation

Liverpool had just won a 3-0 match against Spurs.

They display another control and attacking strategy. Up goes the tempo in the 2nd half. Gear up for a sudden fast and furious pace. They had attacks from the left and right flanks. Centre assaults. Low and high crosses.

Finally, a move by Captain Gerrard had Bellamy hitting the post from close range. But a follow-up by Gonzalez had earned the Chilean his 1st Anfield goal.

The 2nd goal is a stinger from Kuyt. A shot with power, accuracy and confidence. I believe there will be more similiar goals from the Dutch.

A counter-attack by the Reds result in another trademark shot by Riise. Another long, powerful and accurate shot.

Great team efforts. Great goals.

Alonso Goal !!

Few days ago, Liverpool had win 2-0 over the Toons. As usual, they had created numerous goal-scoring chances. But in this game, they managed to score. 2 goals. All connected to Xabi Alonso. The 1st goal was a diagonal defence splitting pass from Alonso which found Finnan laying on for Kuyt to score his 1st Anfield goal. The 2nd goal was a masterpiece. Alonso had lifted the ball from his own half. The ball shoot up high in the air and drop perfectly into the goal. No bouncing. Straight in.

Steve Irwin The Crocodile Hunter

I had always enjoy watching Steve Irwin's programmes. I could see that he was extremely passionate and had great knowledge with animals. It was amazing to see him getting so close up with dangerous crocodiles, snakes, etc, at times.

But, we could not see him record another programme anymore. He had been an unfortunate victim of a stingray. It's spine had pierced his heart while filming an underwater documentary on Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

The world had lost a Great TV host. An amazing animal lover.

Report On Bad Reporters?

Recently, Straits Times had featured an article on some popular nightspot with bad services. It had highlighted their poor service standards. Last year, there were also articles on umpleasant services, on some high-end retailers. I supposed these reporters may had reasoned that it were their duties to report the truth to the public. To unearth the dirt, bring it to the light.

I wonder would these reporters report on bad reporters?
Or are there no bad reporters?

National Day 2006

Elsewhere in the Middle East, Israel and Lebanon are engaging in battles. Fire had been raging for the past few weeks. More soldiers had been recalled. More tanks. More air planes. More rockets. More ammo. More, more and more heat to come. Every generations of Israel had experinced war. From father to son. Lets hope all will end as soon as possible.

Here we are in Singapore celebrating our 41st National Day in 2006. Today, early in the morning we could hear children from nearby schools singing our Singapore's nation-bonding songs.

Lets hope Singapore could continue our peaceful days.
Onwards Singapore.

Secret Garden

Listening to Secret Garden now.

Listen. Close your eye. Breathe slowly. Concentrate on the music. The violin. The piano. You are walking in a scented garden now. Sunshine, blooming flowers, greenery. So Peaceful.

Their music are rather slow moving. Rather sad.
It captures sweetness. Bittersweetness.
Suddenly the world seems to be revolved in a slow motion.
Lots of different feeling in their mesmerise tune.

Amazing.

They have lots of music that could be used in as film soundtrack.
Story of the princess and prince been reunited after a tragedy war-outbroke.
Story of the lovely gal with illness laying on the white-linen bed with her beloved by her side.
Story of sisterhood with their troubled mens.
Story of sad ending. Happy ending.

Holding hands together. Embrace. A better tomorrow.

World Cup Champion 2006 - Italy

Italy is the Champion! The Champion of World Cup 2006!

They deserve the Cup. They have the passion. Spirit. Gut. They fight for each other. They are a balance team with depth in their subsitutes' bench. They have a shrewd manager.

The Italian have only 2 goals conceded throughout the tournament. An own goal. And a penalty. Their defence marshalled by Cannovaro is superby.

France's mastero Zidane had stolen a historical lime light - he head-butts Italy's Materazzi. Zidane go straight onto Materazzi's chest. Materazzi fallen onto the pitch. Zidane is shown the red card. Nevertheless, Zidane is still the player of the century. No doubt. The days of Juventus' Zidane is awesome. The way he caress the ball. His effortless dribbling. He dummy the opponent. He turn the opponent inside out. He orchestrate the attack. His ability to control the game. His coolness. His first touch. His passing. His vision. No one seems to be able to steal the ball away from his feet. Only a few could touch the ball.

Champion Italy.

Golden Boot Zidane.
Lord Zidane.
