The European Champion 2007 - AC Milan

AC Milan win 2 - 1 over Liverpool. They are the newly-crown Champion.

Once again, Liverpool had been punished for not taking their chances. For years, they had not found a ruthless striker, or player. They would probably need a calibre of Romario, Van Basten or, perhaps, Inzaghi to be a serious challenger of every silverware.

Well, there could only be 1 winner.

I suppose, this time round, Gattuso might be thinking, " To be a Champion after a long season, you would need not just attitude and fighting spirit, but talent and composure as well". But of course, sometimes, luck do play a part.

Winner Of European Cup 2007?

The European Cup Final 2005 was played between Liverpool and AC Milan. Liverpool was the champion then.
The European Cup Final 2007 will again be played between Liverpool and AC Milan, in few hours time. Who will be the winner this time? Well, no matter what, it is a great achievement for both teams to have 2 Finals in 3 years.

How I wish I could be at Athens now. It would definitely be an amazing feeling! Well, I had always wish to watch a Live soccer match of eg, Arsenal, Man Utd and, of course, Liverpool. I hope I could catch a very important match of Liverpool! That would be absolutely fantastic!

Hunger and determination could win a final. Gennaro Gattuso sum it up, "Liverpool taught me the value of psychology in footabll: When you get to a massive final at the end of a long season, it's not about talent any more - but about attitude and fighting spirit."

Anyway, later I gona enjoy the match through cable-tv. Let's hope all went well for LFC!!!
Goal, Goal, Goal!!!

One Last Dance

Yesterday, I had watched the film One Last Dance by Max Makowski, starring Francis Ng, Ti Lung, Vivian Hsu, Harvey Keitel and a list of TCS actors (most of them had cameo roles).

I suppose Max have a fantastic story. But l I don't really understand the whole story.

I don't know why is there a need to include a 'yellow theme' in the film. Why is there a yellow carrier bag (initially, I thought the art director is brilliant to add the yellow carrier on the car's dashboard to make the shot great)? Why is there a yellow car? Dose all these related to the yellow suitcase? (Yellow is his favorite colour? hee.. ). Is this film been influence by Sin City? Oh, by the way, why is there a 'heart shape' appearing in some scenes? I don't understand the heart shape light on the traffic lights?

Does the yellow theme indicate another story? Does the heart shape point to another tale?

But Francis and Ti Lung put up great performances.

Ooh, this film is shot in Singapore. Hee..

Changing Society

Not too long ago, our island had welcome 'gay' to our society.

Not too long ago, our nation had approved casino, Integrated Resort, to be developed.

And now, our country had approved F1 to be raced in our city.

Wow. What a U-turn from 40 years ago. Back then, all these ideas were a strict NO. Now, we need creativity, tourism and buzz from a complete different approach.

Are we making a wrong decision back then? Or is it just the timing is not ripe then? If we had go ahead with those ideas, things would never the same. Whatever it is, we are here today.

Are We Going Green?

Recently our government had started to go Green. Are our dear citizens ready?

Some of the leading supermarket had started to make small step. A very small step. Every 1st Wed of the month, there would be no FREE plastic bag. Every REQUESTED plastic bag would be charged. Lots of people are not receptive about the measure taken. Well, it is only a small step, yet people are complaining. They are not concern about the environment? Or are they used to taking free plastic bag for granted? Or they just want to complain?

Some of the complainers still have the cheek to 'blame' the government that it is the government that had, for so many years, 'installed' the habit of throwing rubbish with plastic bag!! Well, I believe if other country with 'No Plastic Bag' could throw their rubbish systematically, why can't we? C'mon, this 'habit' is not so difficult to kick off, right?

Stop giving lame excuses.

Well, I believe the locals need time to condition to the green idea. Maybe our friends need to be re-educated again. Maybe more envionmental-concern programmes need to be shown. Media, definetely, could play an important part. Maybe our household names people need to chip in. The newspapers, magazines, blah blah blah. As the saying goes, "Monkey see, Monkey do". Saving the earth could become a 'in-thing', so long the local started to think it is 'cool' to save the planet.

Sometimes I wonder, what will happen next when our earth have ended?

Happy Mika

Recently, Joe had intro Mika - Life in Cartoon Motion to me. It is a great album!

It sound like a happy rock music album. It sound rather different from the rest of the nowadays modern-rock. The tracks Grace Kelly and Lollipop are so cheerful thumping music! Love Today and Big Girl sounds like love-spiritful songs. At the same time, Mika sound a bit retro too!! The music sound somewhat simple, but somehow there is a joyful and sing-along magic.

Ooh! And the album had a fantastic cover that match the music perfectly!

What's The Value Of Your Gift?

Yesterday a lady walk into our shop holding 1 of our merchandise in her hand. After a while, she ask me what is the price of a particular item on the table. Well, the item that she enquired is the same as the 1 she is holding.

What does a gift means to you?

If you receive a LV wallet from Brad, would you be over the moon? But if you receive a $20 wallet from Tom, would you be looking at the rubbish bin?

What are you thinking of when you receive a gift? A LV wallet means Brad adore you? A monogram wallet means he got chic taste? Or he feel you deserve a LV?

Or did you ever consider why is Tom giving you a $20 wallet? Is he a miser? Or is it that he can only spare $20 out of his expenses? Or he feel that you may like this black colour multi-compartment wallet, a practical item? Or he feel you only deserve a $20 wallet?

Well, sometime it could really difficult to give a present for someone. Give your collegue a smaller gift, he may gossip you. Give him a bigger gift, you may also get gossip from someone else. Get him a discounted item, he may say you are cheap.

Sometime I wonder what is the VALUE of a gift. Is it the PRICE or the THOUGHT?

Road To Oscar

Oh Great!!!

A adaption film from Hong Kong had won an Oscar. Alan Mak and Andrew Lau's Internal Affair had won Martin Scorese, The Departed, an Oscar. I suppose the Hong Kong creators and team must be over the moon. Hong Kong had lots of great creators. Directors. Producers. Scritwriters. Actors. Stuntmen. Choroegraphers. etc etc... . And fantastic films.

Oh, I feel pity for Mr Dicaprio. He had 2 wonderful films in The Departed and Blood Diamonds, yet he did win the best actor award. His past film in Aviator also miss out on the award. Gosh. Well, when is his turn? Maybe ee had to wait for his award, just like Andy Lau who had finally capture his Best Actor Award after so many years.

Black

I had just taken my shower. Now listening to the Black Album - Metallica.

Gosh. The album is full of drum, bass and guitar blasting away. Of course, their earlier albums were all more heavier. More heavy duty. More power punch. The black album is a bit more 'subtle' and mainstream. But I still love it. I suppose it is their 1st album that I had listen to. It feel rather sentimental to me.

Entersandman. A song that is full of energy. One of the crowd favorite. The music made me feel like there is a monster entering into a town in a quiet night. People run amok. Some heros wanna stop the monster.

The Unforgiven. A classic opening. A song that I feel like that a guy had done lots of wrong deeds. All the people can't forgive him. He is been left alone. He is been outcast. He is been left regreting for the rest of his life.

Nothing Else Matters. Another song with a brillant opening. It sound abit like detaching the surrounding. You only believe in what you believe in. You are determine to get what you want.

Wherever I May Roam. It is a song that it often made me feel like I am in a exotic desert, mystery place, barbaric city. A place where people on the street carry arabic-eqyptian sword and costume. Full of blooming and colourful flowers. Lots of tents. Lots of table silverware.

The Black Album is absolutely great.
Somtime I wonder how many fans are still listening to them.

Hello, How Are You and Goodbye.

I had a good friendship with C during our secondary days. We get along quite well. In our poly-NS days, we chance upon each other on the streets and make some small talks. During our working lives, we still bump into each other. But each time, we talk lesser and lesser. Recently, I bump into C on 2 occasions. The 1st occasion, we didnt really talk. We just say Hello, How Are You and Goodbye. On the 2nd occassion, I am just like a stranger to him. I try to talk to him, but he just brush off the talks. What had happen?

I had a 'normal' friendship with CY, who is also a friend of C and mine. CY and I are just 'friends' during those days. But during our working lives, we had bump into each other and we had laughter and chatted off well!!

Well, maybe C have reasons for holding himself back to me.

Sometime when people had step into the corporate world, they change. They talk about money. How much do you earn? What post are you holding? What house are you buying? What car are you driving?

Well, I had gone to a friend's wedding. And my old friends are talking around the bushes on these matters.
One even ask "Does your girlfriend stay in a condominium?"
And the guy reply "No. She stay in a terrace house. Haa. Surprise you. Haa".

Gosh. Is now the common trend on 'Is you girl rich'? I only know 'Is your boy rich?.

Of course it is common to ask what do you do. We are concern and curious about each other. But lots of people ask this to 'grade' you.

Well, maybe it is a welcome to the world.

Sometime, man needs to learn how to be humble. Steve J is a humble man. He claim he is not a irreplaceable guy in his organization. Woww. I hope he say it sincerely.

Hello 2007!!!

This is my 1st blog of 2007.

Yr 2006 had flew past.
I suppose Yr 2007 gona zoom zoom past as well.

Well, Yr 2006 had finally let one of my dreams come true. I had finally let my design been produce as a product. Of course some people may say the products did not earn me any money. But I suppose only a true designer could understand how I feel.

A composer would be glad to hear his song been sang at a concert.
A fashion desiger would be glad to see his clothes parading down the catwalk.
A car engineer would be glad to see his car racing round the Formula 1 circuit.
I am glad to see my art work on the shelf.

Of course, I am still far and away from other elite designers. But nevertheless, I am very happy with my debutant work pieces with Mr LV. I suppose that our 1st collaboration is quite a success. Our joint-efforts had pay off.

Well, for Yr 2007, my wishes are that I hope the government could promote and create awareness on global warming. I hope the government could strongly encourage the public to SAVE THE EARTH!! I hope the government could educate his citizens.

Secondly, I hope there are more well-manner customers. I hope the government not only encourage the service industry to buck up their service standard, but also to remain the public that it take 2 hands to clap louder. I hope the public could stop abusing the so-call CUSTOMER RIGHTS!!

Thirdly, I wish my Princess with good health. Good luck. Safety. And stay chirpy chirpyz chip chipz.

Love.

Beatles

Beatles.
Oh, the classic Beatles.

They are genius in music.
Arn't they?

So sad that they had break up.
Wonder if they had stay on, how many more classic songs would be heard.

Listening to Beatles now. Sometimes, I find their music rather simple. But catchy! Lots of time, I feel their music direct with lukewarm feeling. Lots of time, I feel like singing along! Sometimes, I feel quite sad listening to their tracks. Sometimes, I feel light hearted. Sometimes, I feel 70s.

Fantastic Chocolate Cake?

Lately I had eaten the Chocolate Cake from Bukit Timah. The so-called awfully wonderful chocolate cake in this island. Most of the orders are made under reservation list. The paper used to claim it to be one of the best in this tropical country. The chocolate cake had been baked years after years. Popular for years after years.

Of course I am very curious to taste this chocolate cake. I love chocolate. Irrestible.

Finally I got to taste it last weekend. Smell good. But after having the first bite, I wonder 'What's the hype about this chocolate cake?'. It is just a simple cake. It is not fantastic at all. It is just a simple and ordinary chocolate cake. I am not a food connoisseur. But I could taste what is a really great piece of chocolate cake.

Sometimes I wonder the standard of some food critic's review. This chocolate cake is a great example. I wonder how do this journalist grade this cake so highly? She may like to eat food. But she is not a savory food critic at all. She is just a food lover.

I would prefer to eat my Meiji Dark Chocolate, after all.
